Job description, responsibilities and duties
About the team and the Transformation Program OLYMPUS:
The OLYMPUS project is a Finance Transformation program where we not only want to introduce cloud-based applications and infrastructure but also move to an agile way of working. One of our core applications is the sub-ledger for preparing and reporting multi-valuation financial statements (IFRS and many other local valuations) for our assets and liabilities. This is a completely new product that we have developed in a co-innovation project with SAPFioneer (FPSL) and is also being rolled out to many of our competitors in the insurance industry. Our goal is to improve our work for our customers every day.
The Derived Cashflows Squad is a small international development team responsible for multiple JAVA based micro-services operated on cloud and communicating with each other using Kafka streaming, ultimately feeding the SAP sub-ledger with inputs for financial closing. We are responsible for gathering requirements, developing, and maintaining the software, and coordinating with our neighboring teams within the whole OLYMPUS program
About the role:
We are looking for a strong analytical mind to strengthen our team. As a Senior Business Analyst in the Derived Cashflows Squad, you will:
-Contribute to the building and maintenance of new software
-Collect and translate business requirements to developers including testing support
-Respond to, and handle complex issues while getting ready for a roll-out of the system to production
-Responsible for building up and sharing knowledge about applications and processes
-Communicate with international user community as well as wide range of other IT colleagues across the globe
-Help to embed our culture of continuous improvement
