Job description, responsibilities and duties
As an Application Architect, you will play important role in our enterprise context, utilizing design thinking techniques, software development expertise and business domain know-how. You'll own the system and tech landscape, the basis of our business applications.Your primary focus will be providing technical expertise for specific products, emphasizing architecture, application design, engineering, and the rollout of high-quality products. Collaboration is key, and you'll work with global teams of product owners, business experts, and outsourcing partners through all phases to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Additionally, you'll oversee development and maintenance, ensuring the landscape operates with the highest efficiency through the consistent use of state-of-the-art technology.
Responsibilities:
-Take ownership of the architecture, design, and implementation details of our software products and components.
-Ensure that technical and design standards are followed, utilizing state-of-the-art technology for the highest efficiency.
-Sense the "technology pulse" in teams, addressing pertinent issues by creating standards or standard components for all product development teams.
-Understand and evolve our application landscape with a strong focus on API integrations and loosely coupled systems.
-Lead and oversee development and maintenance work, driving technology implementation alongside the lead architect.
-Stay current with technology trends, identifying promising solutions that meet our requirements.
-Present and advocate ideas & architecture to a wider audience.

Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, data scientists, and software engineers. We work collaboratively, sharing knowledge and engineering inventive solutions.

Key skills and Experience:
-Proven experience as an Application Architect.
-Proficiency in software development using Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, and any major UI framework (Angular, React, Svelte, etc.).
-Full-stack development experience is a plus, with knowledge in TypeScript, Python, Unix/Windows scripting, etc.
-Experience in API design and implementation (REST, RPC, SOAP, etc.).
-Knowledge of modern software architecture using synchronous and asynchronous integration technologies (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, etc.).
-Leadership skills, effective communication, and an entrepreneurial mindset
-Strong analytical skills, approaching problems in a structured way, combining your creative ideas with those of others.
-Active communicator with development teams, business teams and stakeholders.

-Familiarity with digital transformation principles.
